Clancey is an intuitive, empathic therapist with deep emotional awareness and a passion for social justice. Her approach is informed by her background in advocacy and her diverse experiences--from inpatient psychiatric care to psychological integration of natural medicine.
Education & Prior Work Experience
Clancey holds a Master's of Social Work from the University of Southern California specializing in Adult Mental Health & Wellness. As a clinical social worker, she has provided individual and group therapy for individuals struggling with severe mental health challenges and substance use. As a certified integrative coach, Clancey is dedicated to partnering with individuals to sustain a life of mental wellness and spiritual wholeness. After receiving her B.A in Global Studies from New York University, she dedicated her time to supporting vulnerable and unhoused individuals with grassroots advocacy initiatives. Clancey’s background includes program development for non-profit organizations committed to expanding access to the arts in underserved communities.
Clancey has a capacity for deep understanding and an ability to connect with people from diverse walks of life. She draws on her experiences in multiple settings to meet each client where they are. She has worked in psychiatric hospitals, intensive outpatient services, substance use detox and rehabilitation, and private coaching. Clancey utilizes a trauma-informed approach, where creating a safe container for healing is a priority. She incorporates mindfulness, cognitive-oriented theories, expressive art, and Internal Family Systems in her work.
Clancey is passionate about movement, mindfulness, and the arts. She enjoys daily meditation, painting, photography, and making music with her husband. Dance is a non-negotiable part of her week, as well as the Afro-Brazilian martial art of capoeira. She loves to travel, cook, and share delicious food with her family and friends.
