Logan
Assistant Field Director
As an Assistant Field Director Logan works to support field guides in and out of the field. He worked for Evoke as a field guide and senior field guide between 2020 and 2022. Logan’s time in the field was an invaluable learning experience, both personally and professionally. He’s excited to be a part of the Evoke community in this new role and continue his growth while helping others to do the same. Logan excels at creating space for others to share and process. He brings humor, kindness and patience to all of his endeavors.
Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, Logan received his bachelor’s degree in 2015 from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. There he studied communication with a theatre emphasis, and cultivated the skills of working under pressure, often with a diverse group of people, toward a common goal. Logan moved out west for the first time in the spring of 2018 to work for an outdoor education program based in Colorado, starting a new chapter of life spent in the outdoors that before seemed unfathomable. Over several seasons of work, Logan lead backpacking and climbing trips in the mountains of Colorado and California while striving to educate and help others forge their own connection to nature. Logan is stoked to back in the desert of Southwestern Utah to once again tap into the healing and teaching power of the wilderness.
Beyond the realm of work, you can find Logan hiking and or climbing at the local crags or inside on rainy days reading, singing along to music, playing board games and making his own kombucha.
