Eleven years ago I moved to Santa Clara with a plan to work at Entrada for a year before attending law school. When the time came to go to school I found myself conflicted about leaving. I loved what I did and I loved the people with whom I worked. Ten years later I am still here sans a law degree and completely happy with my decision to stay.
Recently at Evoke at Entrada, we coordinated an in-field Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course for one of its young adult groups. The course was taught by a former Entrada staff, currently certified as a WFA Trainer. This unique course was designed by Entrada to give our participants an immersive opportunity to develop a valuable, life saving skill set. At the end of the course each participant walked away with an invaluable experience, as well as a tangible WFA certification highlighting their participation.
This October marks the ten-year anniversary for Second Nature Entrada, in Santa Clara, Utah. Not only has Entrada set the standard in providing the highest level of care for our adolescent and young adult participants and their families back home, it has also supported and helped to grow the local community.
