Wilderness First Aid Training at Entrada

Josh Nelson 33Recently at Evoke at Entrada, we coordinated an in-field Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course for one of its young adult groups. The course was taught by a former Entrada staff, currently certified as a WFA Trainer. This unique course was designed by Entrada to give our participants an immersive opportunity to develop a valuable, life saving skill set. At the end of the course each participant walked away with an invaluable experience, as well as a tangible WFA certification highlighting their participation.

One participant who graduated shortly after the course was eager to share his excitement about the experience saying, “The (WFA) course was awesome! I never thought that I would be able to do something like that! I loved it!” He then produced his official certification card with his name on it and proudly passed it around the office for all to see.

Coordinating and facilitating courses and experiences like the WFA is one of the ways in which Evoke at Entrada continues to set the bar for innovative treatment in the wilderness. We look forward to providing more WFA trainings in the future as well as other unique courses that will challenge our participants and allow them to grow in new ways.
