As a Senior Field Instructor, Mani leads with an approach grounded in prioritizing the physical and emotional safety of the group. Through years of outdoor leadership with Americorps and the Forest Service, he has developed a keen understanding of how to manage group dynamics and safety in wilderness settings. Drawing from a background in social work and aspirations to be a therapist, Mani brings a unique therapeutic approach centered around validating the emotional experience of clients while inviting them on a journey to discover the greater context of those emanations. Integral to his approach is the compassionate holding of firm boundaries to challenge unhealthy behavioral patterns and support growth.
Mani holds a B.A. in philosophy and environmental studies from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking with his fiancée, visiting his family in Wisconsin, and writing.
