Clint Atkinson is a native of the Northwest. He grew up outside of Portland but spent as much of his time as he could in central Oregon, snowboarding, camping and waterskiing. College years were spent in Ashland, Oregon, where Clint attended Southern Oregon University studying environmental sciences and geography. In 2000 he finally made Bend, Oregon, his home; he began working for Cascades as a wilderness field instructor in 2007. Through the years he has worked directly with troubled teens and students as a field instructor, then with the logistics department as Logistics Coordinator. In 2010, Clint completed training for his Emergency Medical Technician and is certified as an EMT. He currently functions as both the Operations Manager and Medical Coordinator.
In June of 2009, Clint married his best friend and became a stepfather. With his free time he likes to act like a child with his stepson, snowboard, hike and camp (of course), read, go to the gym, and chase around his three dogs. One of the dogs, Otis, is THE official dog of Cascades and is almost always by Clint's side - even in the wilderness.
