Adam is a Physician Assistant specializing in Emergency, Wilderness, and Remote Medicine. He received a Bachelors Degree in Wildlife Biology from the University of Vermont in 1999 before entering the medical field and receiving degrees in Paramedic Emergency Medicine in 2005 and a Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of New England in 2010. Adam balances his Medical Director responsibilities at Evoke with occasional rotations at St. Anthony Hospital Emergency Department in Pendleton, OR, Bend Memorial Clinic Urgent Care in Bend, OR and remote medical assignments on the North Slope of Alaska. When not working, Adam is found enjoying any number of outdoor activities central Oregon has to offer with his wife Liz.
Adam’s passion for the outdoors parallels his passion for medicine. He has experience guiding extended wilderness trips for teenagers in the northwest and southwest United States, and has been a student himself on semester- long wilderness expeditions. These experiences give Adam exceptional insight to how our participants are living in the field. He takes pride in keeping our participants safe and comfortable from a medical perspective, allowing them the mindfulness needed to fully appreciate the outdoors and to focus on their challenges and personal growth.
