Sarah is a psychotherapist based in Salt Lake City, UT. In her role at Evoke Summit Lodge, she facilitates intensives and/or creates space for self-care and the mind/body connection through teaching restorative yoga classes. In both Sarah holds a supportive, caring, and safe space for growing and healing.
As a therapist, Sarah works from a holistic and integrative perspective. She believes that all people have an innate capacity to heal and to find balance in their lives, but that so often the challenges faced make it difficult to find alone. She believes that transformation takes hold when the mind, body, and spirit are engaged and therefore using a range of approaches in her therapeutic work. Her work is always informed by each individual's unique growth process and often in collaboration with her focus on the mind/body connection, her trauma-informed lens, mindfulness work, and experiential therapies.
Sarah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an MSW from New York University. She is trained in EMDR and is a 200 hour certified yoga teacher. While not at Evoke Summit Lodge, she currently provides psychotherapy for clients in her private practice. Prior to opening her private practice, she was a clinician at a wilderness program and at a residential treatment center. In NYC she worked at Mount Sinai Hospital, in a private psychotherapy practice, and taught yoga for mental health.
Sarah is a New York City native who moved to Salt Lake City in 2016 as she was drawn to the mountains and a slower pace of life. Utah has quickly felt like home and while she misses the east coast (especially the ocean) she is lucky to visit often. Sarah spends her free time with her husband, son, pup, and friends - most often staying active in the outdoors or catching a concert.
