Tess Ipolito, MS
Clinical Assistant at Entrada
As a Clinical Assistant at Evoke Entrada, Tess assists the primary therapist in working with families, students, and referring professionals to best support the needs of each. Her key responsibilities include assisting with in-the-field sessions, performing weekly parent phone calls, and facilitating scheduling needs. She works with students to determine their unique weekly therapeutic assignments and then collaborates with the Field Instructor team to implement and fulfill these goals.
Hailing from New York, Tess holds a master's degree in Environmental Policy from The New School. Before joining the Evoke family in 2018, Tess spent time working with social and environmental justice organizations across the world, as well as working in holistic and naturopathic medicine. From 2018 to 2021, Tess worked as a senior field instructor with Evoke at Entrada, during which time she excelled at facilitating intentional spaces for participants and new staff to grow and learn.
Tess strives in and out of the field to role model effective communication, self-love and body awareness, and a growth mindset. She challenges participants to show up authentically, advocate for their needs, take accountability, and to learn the value of holding personal boundaries. Tess believes deeply in the transformative power of the Wilderness experience, and empowers participants to address current discomfort and past trauma through the inherent challenges and opportunities that arise from separating oneself from distractions and societal pressures.
Tess will begin her second master's degree in 2021, this time in Social Work. When she is not supporting our therapists, staff, participants, and families, she can be found hiking, kayaking, fishing, and soaking up the Utah sun.
