Melinda Goodwin, RN, BSN, MBA
Medical Coordinator at Entrada
As the Medical Coordinator, Melinda oversees the health and medical well-being of the participants, visiting the field regularly, and providing on-call support to the field staff by phone. With the collaboration of and under the supervision of the medical director, Dr. Scott Barton, Melinda implements and carries out treatment plans and evacuations should an injury or medical issue arise in the field. She also provides regular medical instruction to staff.
Melinda started her nursing career as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 1995 and graduated with her RN in 2000. She recently graduated with her BSN in Nursing 2019 and her MBA in Healthcare in 2020. Over the past 23 years, she has gained most of her experience in the acute care setting; working in Medical Surgical, Labor and Delivery, ICU, ER, and most recently with adolescents in a treatment center. Throughout her career, her professional training includes: Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Critical Care Registered Nurse, Neo Natal Critical Care, Trauma Certified Registered Nurse, Neonatal Resuscitation, and Basic Life Support.
Melinda was born and raised in Vernal, Utah. She was drawn to the community at Evoke because of its supportive and communicative nature, and the emphasis on the mind-body-spirit connection.
Melinda loves the outdoors and believes the wilderness offers great potential for grounding, growth, and healing.
