Cassandra Rustvold, LCSW, MEd, SEP
Lead Therapist at Evoke Therapy Intensives
Education & Prior Work Experience
Cassandra is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an affinity for integrated approaches to healing and empowerment. While she attributes her greatest avenues of education to her lived experience, Cassandra obtained a Master of Social Work (MSW) and Master of Education in Human Sexuality (Med) from Widener University in Chester, PA. Her clinical work spans myriad issues and populations, yet her specializations are in the arenas of sex therapy and body-based trauma resolution. Her training as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and Neurofeedback Therapist help to guide transformation in her clients from a place that the thinking mind cannot touch. Cassandra is currently in private practice in Boise, ID but has worked in a clinical role in residential, transitional, and out-patient facilities across the US. In the public health and educational arenas, she worked as a sexual health educator, conducted research, and provided outreach and advocacy to marginalized and at-risk populations.
Although Cassandra brings this background of knowledge to her work, she strongly invites clients to attune to their own inner knowing and innate capacity for healing. Working from a strengths-based, attachment-focused, mindful, and experiential perspective is how Cassandra believes long-standing change takes place. She sees compassionate yet direct communication as a foundation of both her approach and invitation to her clients. Her dedication to creating safety and confidence in facing some of life’s most difficult emotions and conversations is both Cassandra’s passion and commitment to her work as a therapist.
Outside her profession, Cassandra is always on the lookout for opportunities to engage with nature, read, move her body, laugh, and connect with self and other sentient beings.
