Amanda Redwine, MBA
Co-facilitator at Evoke Therapy Intensives
Amanda is a highly sought after parent coach and Intensives facilitator. Her knowledge and professional skills are deeply rooted in her own journey of being a parent with a child in treatment. Amanda’s experience of growing and healing alongside her child has given her a personal perspective on the importance of parents feeling deeply seen and supported throughout the treatment process. She is passionate about helping families translate insight and transformative experience into practical skills and lasting change.
Education & Prior Work Experience
After two decades of working in corporate finance, Amanda decided to make a career change and pursue her dream of becoming a professional counselor and parent coach. Amanda specializes in working with parents of struggling teens and young adults. Much of her professional journey was inspired by her own personal experience of learning alongside her son in wilderness treatment and therapeutic boarding school. Amanda’s approach is well aligned with the attachment based model of Evoke Therapy Programs, which places a high regard on helping each family to learn how to heal and grow in their relationships. Amanda attributes much of her decision to become a therapist to the professional care and compassionate guidance she received during her child’s journey in wilderness and residential treatment, and she is dedicated to sharing these gifts with the families she serves.
Amanda believes in empowering parents to engage in their own personal healing and individuation process. Amanda is a strong believer in the power of parent coaching as a resource that can benefit the entire family. Amanda often tells her clients, “One of the best things you can do to support the success of your teen or young adult in treatment is to take this time to invest in doing your own work.” Amanda’s many clinical strengths are matched by her authenticity, humor, and dedication to service.
Amanda currently lives in Chicago and enjoys spending time with her wife and young adult son. She loves to tell stories about how her two rescue dogs run the house, and she loves the simple beauty of an Italian meal and laughing until your sides hurt.
