Kevin “KP” Padowicz

Director of Young Adult Programming

KP oversees the outdoor young adult program at Entrada. This includes program-wide leadership and ensuring all program policies and procedures are being followed. KP also develops and implements young adult programming, trains field instructors, facilitates adventure trip programming and activities, and oversees all operations at the Oasis. KP is a graduate of Evoke’s young adult program and is passionate about honoring the intrinsic fundamentals of Evoke while also continuing to develop new practices and programming that meet the needs of modern young adult participants.

Born in Syracuse, New York, KP moved to a rural part of central Virginia when he was six years old and had the unique experience of being raised in a southern town by parents who were very much from the north. KP studied classical guitar at Virginia Commonwealth University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music. During the latter portion of his college experience, KP was overwhelmed by a paralyzing depression that led him to seek various forms of professional help. After some significant struggle, he found Evoke Therapy Programs and after graduating the program went on to successfully complete his music degree.

KP came back to Evoke to work as a field instructor in 2013 about a year and a half after graduating from the program. He spent the next 8 years working in the field for different lengths of time before stepping into an Operations role at Evoke. Often when KP would step away from the field, he worked various food service industry jobs and sold guitars in a retail setting, largely in Las Vegas, one of his favorite cities. It was a desire for more engaging, meaningful work that continued to bring KP back to Evoke, where he relishes the opportunity to work with young adults who are in different phases of their own unique journey toward whole, sustainable health.

KP enjoys playing guitar, listening to music with an intentional ear, and engaging in meaningful conversations with friends, family, and strangers in his free time. He loves the desert and continues to find wonder in the various awe-inspiring spaces of our natural world.
