Hospitality Coordinator at Evoke Therapy Intensives
Kaela Gilbert was born in San Diego, California and finished high school in Salt Lake City, Utah where she developed her love of the outdoors and discovered her passion for the mental health industry.
Education and Background
Kaela graduated Cum Laude from the University of Denver with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and double minors in psychology and entrepreneurship. She brings a combined perspective of years of administrative work in the outdoor industry with guiding at a wilderness program and working as a staff at a residential treatment center. She co-founded the Active Minds: University of Denver Chapter, an organization dedicated to de-stigmatizing mental health concerns and providing students with the tools they need to recognize when a peer needs help and the resources necessary to do something about it.
Kaela puts her entire heart and soul into whatever she is doing. She is passionate, highly empathic and will do whatever it takes to get the job done well. Kaela loves working in this field because she feels like her passion for helping people and dedication to push through hard things are celebrated and encouraged. She is also really good at ping pong.
Kaela enjoys many activities including rock climbing, mountain biking, running, skiing, skating, making jewelry, painting, poetry, and reading. Kaela also loves spending time with her family and friends, and playing Pokémon.
