Senior Field Instructor
Mikey was born and raised in Alabama. He began exploring the western landscape through working seasonal jobs in Colorado, Utah, California, Washington, and Alaska. Mikey has worked a variety of jobs in construction, commercial fishing, firearm research and development, food service, and now wilderness therapy. He's also been an arborist and a wastewater operator. While he never guessed he would work in wilderness therapy, Mikey finds guiding the emotional process of our clients to be extremely meaningful. His desire to work in the field of mental health arises from the positive effects he has experienced from delving into his own personal process. Mikey hopes to share this with the clients at Evoke. Outside of work, Mikey is passionate about rock climbing, trail running, reading, creative writing, playing music, and spending time in the wilderness (without teenagers).
