Liz has provided therapeutic support for individuals and families for over a decade. She brings a dynamic and experiential approach to her work and a breadth of experience that allows her to help families learn new ways of communicating and reconnect with their strengths and resiliency. Liz has a warm and creative approach to the coaching process, and she is passionate about helping clients embark on a quest for insight, relationship repair, and personal transformation.
Education & Experience
As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S), and Board-Certified Coach (BCC), Liz brings a wide a range of professional and personal experiences that inform her practice. She has worked as a Primary Therapist, Clinical Program Director, and Parent and Family Coach in a variety of clinical settings including wilderness and residential treatment programs. Liz has extensive training in trauma, attachment, play therapy, sand tray, and expressive arts. She enjoys integrating experiential activities into her coaching sessions and has a creative approach to helping clients access different parts of themselves, bringing to life what is often difficult to put into words.
Strengths
Liz is naturally direct and compassionate and brings a relatable approach to the coaching process. One of her many strengths resides in the way she helps clients rediscover their strengths, joy, inner wisdom, and find clarity during times of pain, stress, and uncertainty. Liz is playful, adventurous, and curious at heart, and she is a strong believer in “walking the talk,” knowing that working on herself is one of the greatest gifts she can give to others. During the coaching process, Liz seeks to create a space where individuals, parents, and families find the courage to share the emotional truth of their life experiences.
Interest
Liz loves a good challenge, especially when it comes to long-distance running. To Liz, each run reveals a new layer of what she’s capable of and helps her tap into her own inner power. She recently completed her 11th 100-mile trail race and is already planning her next one! When Liz isn’t playing outside, you can find her reading, practicing hot yoga, baking some sweet treats, and planning her next great adventure with her husband. Liz is a proud native of New England, however, currently resides in Asheville, North Carolina.
