Sara is excited to have landed in Admissions and Outreach, as she feels this is the perfect combination of her passions and strengths. Having struggled as an adolescent herself, she understands first-hand the intense emotions around seeking help. She hopes to bring an empathetic and encouraging outlook when assisting families on their own paths to healing.

Education & Prior Work Experience

Sara graduated from Rollins College outside of Orlando, Florida where she studied psychology and international business. She brings a unique perspective to the admissions department having been a student in Evoke’s program herself years ago and more recently having worked as a field staff at our Entrada location. Prior to coming to her senses and returning to the solace of the desert, she chased some big city dreams in Chicago, New York City, and Denver where she worked in recruiting, finance, and marketing capacities.

Strengths

Sara is passionate about sharing the powerful and life-changing wonders of the wilderness with families in need. She is a big believer that everyone could benefit from the lessons the wilderness has to teach us and enjoys listening to and guiding families through the beginning stages of this journey.

Interests

Sara is always looking for her next adventure. An avid traveler, she has been to more than 15 countries and hopes to add many more to that list in the years to come. When she is home, she is happiest surrounded by her community of family and friends, playing in the red rocks, reading a good book in her hammock, practicing yoga, or finding some water to jump in.
